We want every pet to feel comfortable, safe, and happy during their spa visit! Here are some helpful tips to make the most of your pup's grooming experience—and keep them feeling their best afterward.

Before Your Appointment:

✅ Exercise your dog beforehand
A walk before their grooming appointment can help your pup relax and release extra energy. This makes for a calmer, smoother grooming experience!

✅ Potty break, please!
Make sure your pup has had a chance to go potty before their appointment to help them stay comfy and stress-free environment.

✅ Share health updates
Let us know if your dog has any health issues (arthritis, allergies, hotspots, etc.), or skin sensitivities. This helps us tailor their grooming experience.

✅ Check for fleas, hot spots, or skin irritations
If you notice any fleas or hotspots at home, let us know before the appointment. We offer Flea & Tick treatments, but in severe cases, you may need to consult your vet first.


We always check for fleas and skin concerns during the bath, but early heads-up helps us prepare!

After Grooming or Bathing:

✅ Give your pup time to relax
Grooming can be exciting and tiring! Give them time to chill out at home, especially after a haircut or nail trim.

✅ Regular brushing at home
Keep your pup tangle-free and their coat healthy between grooms by brushing them at least a few times a week—daily for long-haired breeds. This prevents matting and makes grooming easier (and more comfortable!) next time.

✅ Reward & Praise your Pup

A treat or extra snuggles go a long way! Praise reinforces a positive grooming experience and helps them look forward to their next visit.

✅ Rebook Regular Grooming Appointments

Keeping a consistent grooming schedule (every 4-8 weeks, depending on your dog’s needs) prevents matting and keeps their skin and coat in top condition.

Regular nail trims (every 2-3 weeks) help maintain healthy paws and posture.

Nail Trim Tips:

✅ Trim every 2-3 weeks
Regular trims prevent overgrown nails, which can cause discomfort or affect your dog’s posture. Long nails can also lead to cracking or breaking.

✅ Walks on pavement help
Short walks on sidewalks can naturally file nails down, but trims are still important to keep the nails short enough and maintain healthy paws.

✅ Paw balm for protection
After nail trims, we recommend applying our Soothing Paw Balm (available as an add-on!) to keep pads soft and crack-free.

Fleas, Ticks, & Hot Spots: What to Know

  • If your pet has fleas, we offer Flea & Tick Shampoo Add-Ons to help get rid of them.

  • Severe infestations may require a vet visit before we can groom them safely.

  • We recommend using preventative flea/tick treatments year-round.

🔥 Hot Spots & Skin Irritations

  • Hot spots can be painful and need gentle handling. If we find them during grooming, we’ll let you know right away.

  • Keep an eye on scratching, licking, or redness and let us know if you spot anything before their appointment.
